Let's see, I answered your last question in your other thread in 12 minutes. Is that not fast enough for you?

I have no first hand experience with the other equipment you discuss, but separate components are almost always better in terms of quality and flexibility.

That took 4 minutes. Hope that was quick enough for you.;)

We have the lg hddvd/hdtuner in question here at CC. I have to say that i am not impressed with the dvd quality. Hd tuner works like a charm. Looked really good on 30 ws sony lcd fp. Now on this particular set up at our store we have lg and panasonic ps dvd player both hooked up. Our test dvd was Dumb and Dumberer(sorry that is what we had at time. LG connected with dvi and panasonic connected with 19.99 GE component cables. LG had subtle differences but nothing that impressive or that looked hd converted. Not doggin it but it wasnt that great. Moved same dvd to panasonic and looked good with ps turned on. Just about the same as LG. So we tried to see if using Monster Cable stage 3 components would make a difference. Well....(substitute drumroll).....................................................................................................................................................................................................................it didnt. Dvd still looked great but the same. SO there is another vote for the argument that the monster stage three isnt worth the money over stage 2 or even thx certified or GE for that matter. Now take that with grain of salt because that is just one view from one who saw it one way. Hope there are others who have seen it and can provide their input. May get something diff.
Holla.

The differance my be the # of inputs on the set, to some a combo unit saves inputs.

to some we want them separate, so when we upgrade, it is 1 at a time, not having to upgrade both.

just my .02

for the price, seems like a good unit to try, my zenith 420 has a good tuner, lg is zenith. and it is a newer tuner, should be better.

as usual, I could be wrong, just my .02

I didnt see any difference between my Zenith DVB-318 1080i player and the LG 3510 player. good dvd player. as for the tuner its a nice tuner.
