This television may be above the average consumers price range but if you ever find yourself in a position to dish out the $3000 - 4000 pricetag , then this is the 34" HDTV for you. Some of the more outstanding features of the 50 included on the television are a side by side scaleable picture, a scrolling index on the right side of the screen that enables you to scan through a list of channels while watching one channel on the left, a built in HDTV tuner capable of exepting all 18 feeds, as well as a good menu system and remote, not to mention one of the most beautiful and crisp picture's I have ever seen. All and all this television is top of the line, if it is within your budget and your in the market for a 34" widescreen HDTV this is as good as they get.

I was recently thinking about purchasing this 34" wide screen TV, but with all the talk about DVI, I am unsure. Does this set have a DVI connection?

No this set does not include a DVI connection, although it does contain an i.link s200 (IEEE1394) firewire port. When I bought it I didnt even know that much about the whole DVI conflict, but im thinking (hoping) since this set does have a firewire port it may be upgradable or useable as an alternate method of viewing copyrighted material. :(

Thanks for the info. I found out I can get a refurbished model for $2895.00 which is a great price. It comes with the full 1 year warranty and everything. I am limited to the size TV I can get because it has to fit in my entertaiment center. This one is perfect dimensions and Sony leads the industry. I just hope that they do come out with a DVI converter of some sort.
