I know this set has directtv decoder for hd and over the air but how about decoding for cable hd? I'm almost certain it doesnt but maybe someone else knows. :D

Even if it does have a QAM tuner, most cable companies scramble their digital stations, so you'd need to discuss with your cable company if they'd "activate" your tuner. So far, most cable companies require you to get their STB.

The tuner in this set will decode:
analog cable only (No digital, therefore no HD)
OTA - NTSC and ATSC
DirecTV
analog cable only (No digital, therefore no HD)
