Has anyone seen first hand either of these Lcos in action. Building a home theater and before I make my final decision on what set, I would love to know what some of you who have seen the Lcos think. Also, if you have seen it, where? Local or National store? Tweeter says they'll be getting them soon, but that may not be soon enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

The only model LCOS I see on Toshiba's site is the 57HLX82, last years model. I don't know where they are at with this years line up.

I've seen the 57 in action and IMHO it has the best PQ of any RPTV and I include the DLP RPTV's. Do a site search for LCOS, there were some comments that could be of interest.

Good Luck,
Lee

Lee, where did you see it? Store? I've seen one website selling both the new 57" and 65", but I can't pull the trigger unless I see it with my own eyes.

thanks

It was at a local A/V store here in Portland, not a chain. They got three in and sold them almost immediately. We barely had time to play with them :(. They haven't had one since. I've never heard of a 65". If you have the link please post it.

I'm a Toshiba fan but to tell the truth I've been impressed the the Samsung DLP's. Less money too.

Thanks,
Lee

Lee, thanks...The 65" is supposed to come out in Oct., the new 57" in Sept. Some sites are selling them and prices have come down. I think Samsung may have something to do with that. My latest Home Theater mag. says that Toshiba will retail the new 57" at $3000 less than the old 57. The 65" should be around $7K.

Thanks for the link! It would be nice if the manufacturers would keep their sites updated :)

Those sound like great sets. Wasn't Mitsubishi also coming out with one?

Did you notice if it 'remembers' the screen or stretch setting for each input? My HDX82 doesn't.

Thanks,
Lee
