I tried to hook up my Xbox to this TV on AV4 and AV1 CVI using the XBOX HDTV pack.

On AV4 the best I could get was a squigly version of the screen rolling vertically over and over again. I set up the XBOX to say that my tv can handle 480p and 1080i and not 720p. Nothing changed on AV4. I swithed to CVI on AV1 and the XBOX menu works and the XBOX logo works when it is loading a game, but as soon as it started the game (xbox mag demo disk 22, and Tony Hawk PS 4) it did the same thing with the squigly screen and rolling vertically.

I then switched the Xbox to say that my tv could only handle 1080i and plugged it into the CVI of AV1. It worked correctly.

I then moved the cables to CVI on AV4. Same squigly vertical rolling screen. How can I get teh XBOX to work on AV4 so I won't have to unplug my dish every time I want to play XBOX in HD?

I have the XBOX HDTV Convertor pack and Philips 43PP9202. Please help. cspinelive@blacklight9.com

plug the hd av pack for the xbox into the av4 input which i assume is the hd port and make sure the settings on your xbox is on 480p and 1080i not 720p load a game in and turn on your xbox and wait for the xbox logo to load onto the screen it will be fuzzy looking but after it loads the game will come thru in hd format. After the game loads it would say on the screen 480p or 1080i dedending on which game you are playing The xbox settings and intro screen is not hd because the tv can't recognize it only the game is, The cvi is component only not high definition you can use that input for watching dvds if you have the xbox remote. Also, you can use it to manage the settings for the xbox.

Thanks. I never let the game load so I just thought it wasn't working when I saw the squigly lines for the dashboard and Xbox logo.
