While watching tv the set turns off for no reason the timer setting is off. its a samsung hcl4715. has anyone had this same problem?

Yes! This just happened to my PT4298HD. It just went off last night, but power is still coming into the unit.
Is this a CRT problem that is still covered under the 2year warranty?
Who can help?

If your model is a DLP, it is time for a new bulb. Mine only lasted a year even though there is an "unknown" factor. They say they can last several years, or a few months. You never know.

I have Akai PT4298HD as well and now I have no picture at all. I power it on & all I have are the flashing red LED. I do believe it's now time for a bulb replacement.
Does Anyone have a part number for a replacement DLP bulb/lamp? Either for the Akai PT4298HD/Samsung HCM4216??? and a site to purchase it from??

Looks like the same thing just happened to me (AKAI PT 4298HDX/SMS chasis P55A). No picture or sound and the red power LED blinks (10 times I think).
Any update? Did you get it working, if so, how?
