That's because it's such an awesome HDTV set, easy to set up and use that everybody is busy watching it rather than reading these fourms!

i just recently joined the 42h81 party. it IS a sweet set. at this point i have absolutely NO complaints. hd programming (i love cbs) is incredible and dvd's look so nice i could watch 10 films a day if it wasn't for sleep and work. but i was really surprised at how good regular old analog looks. the stooges, the little rascals, game show network, espn, it all looks great.
did either of you have your sets calibrated by a pro? did you do it yourselves with a set-up disc? or are you just going with your instincts? i paid a guy $60 to do ours, then i found the AVIA disc for $10 the other day. oooops!
either one of you concerned about the DVI issue?
what are your favorite features? i like DNR, the many pic size options and ALS.

I bought my set open box with no remote. I had called Toshiba about setting the convergence without the remote, and they sent out an ISF calibrator to set it up at no charge to me. So yes I have had it professionally set up, but I am also considering buying the AVIA disk, after all the raves I have heard.
So far what I am most impressed with is of course, image quality when viewing DVD's and the screen stretch options. Watching a 4:3 signal on Theater Wide 1 is virtually unnoticable. Still haven't bought a set top box yet (I have a wife, so I am working on the "permission" for that one) so I can't comment on the HDTV picture yet, but I will get back to you in a couple of weeks...
DVI? I only get nervous when I read these forums ;)
