I am hearing rumors that the F38310 has been discontinued, which means there should be some good bargains out there for anyone who wants to pick up one of these really fine reasonably priced sets. Does anyone know if this is true?

I have been tracking this set for almost 2 years, from ebay to Circuit City! I just purchased the set last night at Circuit City...to be picked up today(5-23). First, I am so grateful for finding this website/forum as I am sure I will need help with various questions regarding maximizing both my HDTV reception and available HDTV "enjoy time"! CAN'T WAIT TO BEGIN!!!!!!
Anyway, in answering your question, I don't know for sure if the set is technically "discontinued", however, I know this is the cheapest I've seen them ever: Circuit City(California)=$1936.00, Circuit City(internet)=$1999+no tax+free shipping(pick-up at the nearest store to you); Up until yesterday, I came close to purchasing a factory refurbished set on ebay for $1799+shipping. Obviously, if you've had your eye on this set you know what a value it is at retail $2499, let alone $aving almost $700, including tax. Discontinued or not I believe now is a good time! You have until 6-1-02 for the internet price! There's nothing like having the rookie "HDTV jitters"! Just in time for the Kings' game...BEAT LA!
