We recently had our tv repaired for a display problem - wavy picture on s-video and composite channels - the color was great on all channels before the repair.
The repairman replaced a control board (he called it the "persussing" control) - I believe it may have been the Hyper module. He initially put in a board that was defective and the picture was totally unviewable. After he put another one in, the picture on all channels were fine in terms of the wavy problem.
However, in the process, we lost the red color on the component and composite inputs, but the s-video is fine. We were told it is the Convergence board.
They want to replace the board for a whopping $900 w/labor (TV was purchases in 2002). After reading some of the threads, is this something that may be fixed by replacing the STK391-110 IC's? Any other options? Does anyone know how to get a schematic of this TV?
