Here's the thread on the convergence issue.

As for the sound issue, can't help you there - consider the purchase of an inexpensive surround sound system (HTiB). You will need a remote.

Not a bad price. I paid 350 to get the same issues fixed on my 50 inch. BUT you will need a remote to get into service mode.

If I get the remote can I fix it in service mode?

Service mode won't fix the convergence issue. Read the link in post 3. You need to replace the convergence IC(s), some resistors and check the board for cracks.

Also see the following regarding service mode and heed the warnings:

To be honest, based on the questions you've been asking, it sounds like you're in over your head.

That link was absolutely no help. Its just a guy with the same problem. I was told to replace some resistors? Which ones? I know what chips to order but the only way I see to remove them is to unsolder the box thats sitting in front of them let me know if Im going in the wrong direction

I was told to replace some resistors? Which ones? The ones that come in the kit from the place(s) in the link in post 3.

The link in post 3 also contains many instructions (if you take the time to read it) on what to do with various TVs. In the Toshiba forum, you'll also find several threads on the convergence IC issue. For example:

We are not repair people. If we were why would we give our information for free?
We can give suggestions. My first one would be to search out a repair manual and learn how to troubleshoot the tv to find the exact cause instead of replacing multiple parts in hopes of replacing the correct one. While many have had the same symptoms, there are multiple cause for them.

These were replaced in mine
2360-HIC1026A
2360-STK392-110
I had an intermittent open trace from pin7 BB30 to pin 17 P410

If you want to know which ones...then ask the person that told you that you needed to replace some resistors...

And if you see that a box needs to be unsoldered...well then go for it...

And I never said that link was your answer...I just said a search pulled that up first...Go from there...You seem to want us to do your leg work for you by your attitude... :boo2:
