52HM95 bad fan noise

My Toshiba 52HM95 has developed a louder than normal noise. It is the worse when the TV starts up and will quite down some after it has been on a while but is still very annoying. When I turn the TV off I still hear the noise for around 5 minutes until the unit shuts down and the green light quits blinking. Could it be the color wheel, I hope not, It it is the fan is that something that I could replace myself.
