Ok here goes, I had a 57H82 that a had bought new and the hyper board went bad. After finding this forum and doing some reading on how to fix. I called a buddy up who I thbought had some soldering skills to repair this. He burned up the board beyond repair and also screwed up the board the the hyper board slides into. So I put the TV in the garage hoping maybe one day I would find another TV set in need or repair and put the two together to make one. Well I found a 57H81 yesterday and the guy said when he turned in on he could hear a c******* noise from the back of the set and the light at the power button would just blink. So I bought the set for $40.00 and got it home and thought I would take the set apart in remove the leftside board out of the 57H82 and put it in the 57H81. So I opened both sets up and the boards matched up. So I did just that. I turned on the 57H81 after the swap and it turned on but no picture and minimal sound. I could scroll though the TV/Video button and here static and push the button agian then I would hear a squealing noise and the again and hear nothing, but still no picture. So I unplug the unit and looking everything over. Now here is the kicker when I removed the red plugs with black boots I didnt mark the ends so I could put them back where they belong. So I swiched them around and pluged the TV back in. Same thing. There were only three red plugs I was confused about. The ones that went to the blubs. Another thing when I would remove those plugs I would just pull on themand then to reinsert I would just push back in. Hope this is OK. After about the third time of trying this and pluging it back in. Now the TV will not come on all it does is the light blinks like the TV did in the fiest place. So I am lost. Did I mess up something else. I am lost. Hopefully someone can help me out. I am giving this TV to my brother. So I dont want to spend alot. Thanks in advance
