I got a GREAT DEAL on this TV. It looks awesome...except for the two spots that warp the image around on the screen :headb: . To put it simply...imagine a perfect square in the middle of the screen. The left side at the top of the screen looks like a backwards "C" and the right side looks like a regular "C". Any idea what might cause this? My initial thought was it was the screen being warped...but is it possible that it is the lenticular or the lenses? The mirror is spotless (had to take it apart to get it into my basement, so i cleaned it while it was right there). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as this is the first projection TV that I bought so I'm a little bit behind ;). Thanks guys! :thankyou3

You may need to completely redo the convergence on this TV in the service menu, using an overlay on the front of the screen, or a set of straight lines (strings perhaps). You need to converge the green first to the lines, then the red and blue can be converged to the green.

It's also possible you have the beginnings of a convergence IC problem - see the following thread on that topic:

If you can take some pictures, upload some photos to a sharing site like Flickr and post the URLs here, we could have a look and possibly advise further.

If the geometry is way off, which it sounds like a possibility, Do the multipoint convergence first if that does not cure it you will have to access service mode to correct alingment and convergence

You renting a 4 year old discontinued TV? I hope your deal was about 400 dollars. That TV may not be worth the repair cost.

I'm not renting it...I would never get roped into paying double the price of anything...nothing is worth that much to me. My buddy is a manager there and got it cash price for 200. Since I complained about it right after it was delivered, they are picking up the tab for whatever repairs are necessary. So this is still very much a great deal for me. The loaner they dropped off though was a 46" Regza...I am kind of liking this more right now lol.

Well...just got the call about the TV today...whatever is wrong is going to cost 650 bucks to fix. They didn't give me any details, just said that it's not going to get fixed. So now I get to figure out what to buy now...
