I got the TV used and it was damaged during shipping. The TV works extremely well with one exception - if the backlight is between about 40 and about 80 the entire bottom half of the backlight flickers and eventually goes out (but will come back if the TV remains off for a while). This can be eliminated by turning the backlight below 40, but I was wondering whether or not anyone has had their backlight serviced, and what their experience was? Is this the kind of thing I should trust to a Circuit City type individual or can I even do it myself with the right components?
