Price is $1,889.00. I actually had our local Costco guy hook up the only Progressive Scan DVD player they had up to this set with component video inputs into the 480p. I then dialed it in by eye for him. The sales guy was amazed. They had the sharpness way up and the set had some major artifacting because of it like any other set with the sharpness and contrast set to high. I think this set has a really nice picture! 7" CRTS's, anti glare screen and very nice color. It is a 55" set and has 1000 lines of horizontal resolution. The Mitsubishi has 1200 lines, but is $1,000.00 more. In my eyes, no doubt the Mitsubishi is the superior television, but I think that this set deserves a serious look for anyone who doesn't want to spend $3k. I can't say how HDTV is, but for DVD, this set has a very strong picture for under $2,000. Shoot, a traditional RPTV cost this much only a few years ago! :-)
