Stand or wall mount? I'm thinking about this tv for a bedroom tv, large room 20' x 20' give or take and with mahogany furniture. IF I do a wall mount I will have to move some portraits of my kids off that wall which I'd probably rather not do. Any good stands that would also hold a Dish unit and perhaps a DVD player? I saw this tv the other day in Costco and of course with their lighting and probably not set up perfectly next to the Bravia and for 1K difference I think this one wins.

Wall mount relocate the kids pictures to the hall way. place the Dish box and DVD plaler on top the dresser.

Oh Lord, that will entail husband figuring out where studs are and not having a major catastrophe~!!!! LOL :rofl2: Whenever he does a project around it here he will leave tools laying about forever unless I pick them up.
Any tips on correct viewing height? I've seen tons of stuff around here about distance but not really in height as I will be viewing this tv from the bed which I might splurge and get the adjustable Tempur-pedic king mattresses.

The TV height should typically have the center of the screen at eye height, unless you have a recliner, in which case it can be a bit higher, or if you lie back completely and want to put it on the ceiling ;)

LOL actually my 13 yr. old daughter requested a ceiling mounted tv in her room just yesterday when I was mentioning shuffling around the various tv's when I buy the new one, she thought it would be cool. I told her I don't think so.

My son's Olevia is mounted on the wall, up close to the ceiling. With a tilted mount it is great for bed watching.

My kids would be green of your kids set-up as they don't have tv's in their rooms. I'm such a mean Mom. LOL
