Turn The TV off.
Press and hold the {CH +} & {CH -} buttons on the TV.
Then press and release the {POWER} button on the TV.
Release the {CH +} & {CH -} buttons.

Now press the {MENU} button on the remote.
You should get your regular menu up, but with a "F" in the
bottom right corner of the menu (This if for factory).


Press and hold the {MENU} button for few seconds.
The Service Menu will be displayed.

Alternative:


Turn The TV off.
Press and hold the {CH +} & {CH -} buttons on the TV.
Then press and hold the {POWER} button on the TV.

Keep all three buttons pressed for few secs.

Now press the {MENU} button on the remote.
You should get your regular menu up, but with a "F" in the

WARNING: Don't change anything setting from the
R Offset / G Offset / B Offset Modes.

staying here in bequia i changed the mainboard of an visio VX37L. the old mainboard is out of function. after replace the tv can be switched on but appears with a strange screen. so i tried to enter the service mode. but it doesnt work.

I followed the instructions at the top of this thread to get into service mode for my Vizio L32 HDTV and when I get into it the first menu shows me the same port menu as I get without going into service mode only it has a 'F' in the lower right. When I press menu a second time I get another menu that allows for ADC Calibration, Auto Burn In, R-Gain, G-Gain, B-Gain, R-Offset, G-offset, B-offset adjustments. In the upper right corner is shows the version (6.16-a) and date (2006.01.20).

I'm not trying to mess with the colors, I'm trying to reset the Digital HD and DTV ports. I've tried doing a reset for each port in their respective menus (with and without the 'F') but it doesn't help.

Both screens only display a blue screen. This started when I hooked up a Popcorn Hour A-110 via the HDMI port. First time it worked but the second time the Digital HD port only gave me a blue screen. Whatever happened also impacted the DTV port because the digital tuner doesn't display the over the air digital stations any more. The Analog HD, S-video, and RGB inputs work fine.

Anyone have any suggestions on how I can reset the Digital HD & DTV ports on my Vizio or am I poop out of luck?

The info I have says that you enter service mode with Samsung CB-5079 like this:STAND-BY --> DISPLAY --> P.STD --> MUTE --> POWER ON.Controls: VOL /-, CH /-. Exit: POWER OFF.I know that this doesn't help you find the P.STD button, but I wonder if you have the right remote for your TV?

The service mode access described in post 1 of this thread does not appear to work on my VIZIO sv470xvt1a. I know I found a way in once, some months ago, but do not remember how (should have written it down). If anyone knows it would be nice to add that to post 1.
