I just had a very odd sound problem with my Insignia 27" HDTV occur and I hope somebody can help me.
I've got the TV hooked up via HDMI to my cable set top box. Tonight I pressed mute on the TV remote when I got a phone call. After finishing the call, I pressed mute again to get the sound back, and no sound. I pressed the volume controls to get the sound back and, no sound. I then turned the TV and set top box off, hoping they'd "reset" themselves and I'd get sound back. Still no sound.
The very weird part of this is that I turned on my XBox 360 (hooked up via component) and the sound is PERFECT.
Anybody got any idea what this problem could be and how to fix it? Could it be actually in my cable box and not my TV? (I really hope so.)
