I am going to fight Best Buy on my 6 month old TV snapping off the cable antenna jack as I was connecting the wire. Obviously, and inferior part. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Best Buy has given me nothing but problems with Customer Service, and it is not worth paying them to fix it. If I can find that it is a common problem (as a rep told me, but she could not help me since it had been 6 months), I would appreciate the info. Or if you could direct me to a website where this is documented.

I have the same HDTV & have had no problems like that, even with snugging the cable up with a wrench. Must be a defective jack. The set should have a 1 year warranty so you should be covered, although they might try & say you tryed to wrench it down to tight. If you have the ESP plan they should just swap out the HDTV since Best Buy doesn't have parts for this TV.

The TV has a 90 days parts and labor warranty.

Ratman,
Where did you see this? My owners manual states it's a 365 day warranty. ???

Must be a "typo"... you are correct. The manual states 1 year.

Thanks for bringing it up! I dropped Best Buy an email so they will correct the web page.

This is why you NEVER use a wrench to tighten a coax connection to the back of a TV...There are too many variables involved to make such a blanket satement like it must be a defective part...Could be a defective user did the damage...
