Hello,
I guess you can say that i was one of the lucky ones(?) that was able to purchase one of the 15 Element 32 inch LCD tv's that were at Home Depot. Overall, i am pretty satisified with this tv.

My only problem is getting the audio out to my home theatre system. I have tried rca cables, digital cables, and coax cables and no luck. I did place a call to tech support and their response was that it was a compatibility issue between my home theatre system and the FLX-3202.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any fixes, solutions?

Regards,
Al Baeza

Sounds like a line of BS to me.

What is the make/model of your HTS and exactly what is your cabling schema? Details help.

We should be able to figure out what's what...

It is a 3 or 4 year old Koss model KS3102-2. When i use the stereo (white and red) cables, i have to crank up the volume on the TV to about 40 and on the HTS to the max.

What type of audio ouputs (red/white) does the TV have?
There are sometimes two types, "fixed" and "variable". Preferably, you should use "fixed".

What input(s) are you using in the Koss?

More details would help...

The TV has 3 audio out outputs. Red/white, coax, and digital. I am trying the red/white and those are connected to the AV in in the Koss.

red/white... okay. Is that fixed or variable.
coax... is that digital coax?
digital... is that digital coax or optical?

What AV in the Koss? Aux, TV, yada, yada ....
details, specifics help.

I'm trying the best I can without searching for your user manuals and reading for you.

Not busting your chops, just asking for you to help us help you. (since you asked for help). ;)

If you turn up the volume on the TV and the sound level increases on the Koss, then you are set up for "variable" sound. This is not the "correct" way to hook things up as the sound output should be "fixed" (at maximum). There may be a menu item in the TV to change the sound output. The digital audio outputs (coax and/or optical) are usually fixed. Can you try one of them?

I downloaded the operating manual for the Koss from here:

http://www.kosselectronics.ca/index/screen/koss_downloads.html

It appears to have an optical input. Connect the optical output from the TV to this optical input and tune the Koss to that input and see what you get.

See the HDTV FAQ "Cables & Connections".
