I have the VP42 and I am using the QAM tuner to tune TW's clear digital channels. All the channels on my system are 4 digit numbers (ex: 1441 is my local NBC channel). I can get to this channel using the channel up/down buttons, but I can't figure out how to get there with the number pad. Is there a trick to entering 4 digit channels?

If using an internal QAM tuner in the TV, the channels are usually no more than three primary digits and a sub-digit(s) separated by a "." or a "-". (I.E. 14.41 or 144-1)
Typically if there is not a . or - key, sometimes a "left arrow" key works. Does the Users Manual for the TV provide manual channel selection infomation?

Unfortunately the Owner's Manual doesn't even address the issue of using the number buttons for anything. I have a "-" button on the remote, but I have tried 1-441 and 144-1 and it has gotten me nowhere. Haven't tried 14-41 yet.

Also, try selecting 144, channel up.

To get to the 4 digit channels press the first 2 numbers, then press the Enter button underneath the 9, then enter the last digits. Took me a while to figure out too.......

I have tried that. Many times. All that happens is it sits there for a few seconds, then it acts like it is changing channels, but ends up back on the same channel it was on.
