[Not posted in X-Box 360 area due to the powers that be]
Ok I don't even know what to call this problem so I've been having a very hard time trying to locate anyone who has had the same problem and how to fix it, so after 2 hours of trolling in the forums I decided I should just ask, here it goes.
First of all the tv is a Insignia NS-27HTV that I am hooking up a X-Box 360 and a Legacy X-Box to. The issue is that the colors seem to move, ie the console on the 360 when you first log in where its orange it looks like its a liquid pool of water or something. The games when played also look like they if you were playing a pc game and dropped the color form 64 bit to 16 bit. The menu on the TV does say that its displaying 480p for the Legacy X-Box, and 1080i for the X-Box 360. Same problem no mater which Box is plugged in and they both have diffrent cables, so I know its not the cable, plus it works fine on my 54". I'm using normal component inputs too by the way for both of them. I hooked both up in the normal RCA jacks and it works fine, just no go on the HD component inputs. Any ideas?
[EDIT]
Possible better discription would be chunky? Maybe? It's wierd. :headb:
[New update]
Evidently per Insigna after looking VERY closely the component is OUTPUT ONLY. Though I'm still confused as to why I'm getting ANY signal at all if that is the case. The Best Buy website states its an input, I double checked it, and looking closer on the back of the tv, it does state it is an OUTPUT. So I may just be screwed. The only reason I got this tv was for HD X-Box play, any ideas would still be great.
[EDIT]
As pointed out below the moving colors is normal, but it doesn't explain why the game appears to be in 16 or 8 bit rez when plugged into the HD Component, but looks 1000x better when plugged into rez. And Its not the brightness it works fine on my 54" and even better on my 19" VGA.
