Ok guys, I have a dilemma. I have a spider inside my tv hanging down right in the middle of my screen. I think he is actually setting up a cocoon with babies in there! How the heck do I get him out of there. It's very annoying watching t.v and seeing this nasty spider in the middle of the t.v. set. haha! This is not a joke even though you are probably laughing because I just read what I wrote and I can't stop laughing. Please help! :canada:

I have a spider inside my tv
if it is an RPTV, welcome to the club  i've had 3 spiders so far. though an annoyance, it forces me to
periodically open up the tv and do some minor cleaning and inspecting.
CAREFUL cleaning of the lenses (no solvents) noticeably improves my
pic. this was a surprise as we don't smoke and i did not think i was removing
anything...but it does look sharper after cleaning. i'm too chicken to clean
the mirror. you might want to read up on cleaning so you are prepared
when in there. Gentle is the key...do no harm.

Thanks cougar! Took the screen off as per instructions on the site and got the darn spider. There was quite a bit of dust on the projectors so I cleaned it off gently with a damp cloth. I also did the inside of the tv and the screen. I was too chicken to touch the mirror too! lol I didn't want to leave any streaks. Put everything back together and WOW is all I gotta say! Did it ever improve the pic quality. I couldn't beleive it. Thanks for your help!

glad it helped...makes you wonder what's in the air when a simple cleaning of
a relatively clean environment yields such a result. :wow:
ps. thinking about it...we have lots of wildfire smoke hanging on in the
pacific northwest and that has to contribute heavily. i'd imagine smog
in lots of other places is a problem.
