Here's the Specs and Manual: http://www.tacp.toshiba.com/televisions/product.asp?model=20hlk86

It has everything I need and will need for a good number of years! (at least I hope so, but it has HDMI, which is a must for HD isn't it?)

And the budget can buy it, but just barley!

Or is there another TV that's even better for that price?

Is this going to be your main HDTV? If it is, I'd look at something bigger, perhaps a CRT-based Direct View TV for roughly the same money, but 30-34".

See the HDTV FAQ "How Large an HDTV to buy". This "kitchen series" TV is mainly for use as a second TV and at 20", you'll barely notice it's an HDTV.

Thing is, this is in my bedroom, and my parents agree that a 20" is the biggest TV I should have in my room, I currently own a 13" Tube TV!

Sorry for not mentioning that in the first place!

And this is MY main TV, while my parents have their own TV, they own a 27" Tube TV!

If you will spend many years in your bedroom and M & D won't let you have a larger TV, then a 20" widescreen is equatable to a 13" 4:3 set.

Very funny...

The main reason why I want to upgrade right now or within a few months is because:

- I simply think that it's time for an upgrade!

-The Nintendo Wii is launching soon, and I want to see the games in the best picture possible!

The reasons on why I want a 20" in particular:

-This size is good enough with me! Especially if you've spent 5 years watching a 13" TV most of the time!

-It fit's my room perfectly!

-I don't REALLY know what my home will look like when I move in a year or two!

-To me, this is a great bargin for such a TV, though I've seen a 20" Legend HDTV for under $500, but it doesn't have the features of this TV!

So I hope this explains wy I want this TV at this time!

I'm not going to live with my parents for much longer, I'm not a mama's boy! :nono2:

Edit: To Ratman: Sorry, if what you said wasn't meant to be an insult! I'm 17 btw!
