Hello. I am rather new to this forum and have some questions about my tv, and im hoping you guys may be able to help.

1. Watching channels like ESPN, ESPN 2 where there is a scoreboard that scrolls on the bottom of the screen it seems to curve and you can't read it all.... Any ideas? Convergence, if so how would i fix it?
2. Hooked up surround sound system and used the compnet cables for video(red.blue,green) and audio cables(red,white)..... it doesn't seem to play the tv programs in surround sound. It does however play DVD's just fine but not out of the tv speakers. Any ideas?
3. Also what would you clean the screen with?

1. Geometry, not convergence, although the "fix" is often accomplished by doing a proper convergence of all three CRTs using an overlay, or straight strings.

2. Analogue audio cables (see the HDTV FAQ on "Cables & Connections") do not carry DD5.1 signals, however, if your receiver has Dolby Pro Logic, that would provide surround sound, just not DD5.1. You need to invoke DPL on the receiver. You need a digital audio cable for DD5.1 and I don't think your TV can provide that. You'll need a set top box (STB) to tune the channels to get DD5.1

3. A Warm, Soft, Damp (not wet) cloth. If you have something "stubborn", you can spend $10-20 on "screen cleaner". DO NOT use any chemicals like Windex.
