actuallyh it os working just not coming thru, I can turn it up and the whole screen goes red but it just isnt coming thru when I am tryinng to do the convergence thing or watch tv well cant watch tv but if I could it doesnt seem to get bright enough to make it thru the screen. Does this make since??? :cool:

Actually, it is working but not coming through.
I can turn it up and the whole screen becomes red. It just isn't coming through when I am trying to perform convergence or normal TV viewing.
It just doesn't seem bright enough to make to the screen.
Now does it make sense? :D

He's making your post readable, I'd say that's adding something... People tend to pass over unreadable posts.

My guess, and it can only qualify as a guess due to the information given is this....
You have disconnected or incorectly reattached the component cables from the source. mjones probably has it correct.
If you can get the red gun to operate, then it is a signal problem.
When you "cleaned the lens", did you physically remove the lens assembly?
I can turn it up and the whole screen goes red but it just isnt coming thru

Can you actually perform a user convergence?

Actually I am not trying to make anyone mad, I am new as you all can tell to this forum and to the rear projection tv thing. However my problem is real and I think I need your guys help. I am not above going to a tv repair shop but if I can do it myself that would be awesome.
OK I took off the lens and cleaned it, only the red one. I did not disconnect anything. But perhaps something came loose, hope not.
Now next delima I have found the convergence chips but they are going to be a bear to get to. Any advice is needed!!!

I read the sticky and I will be purchasing the things on there, but my problem is this. There is a metal bracket right beside my stk392's and it will be hard to get at. However a co-worker said that the metal brackt/box should just pop out some how and then, I would be able to get at the stk392's. I hope so because, I need things to go smooth with this if at all possible. :shootout:
