the problem is there's no DVI or HDMI port in any of the Norcent HDTVs, how to get over this problem, waiting for advice.

Return the TV. Buy a TV with HDMI or DVI.

I heard from friend that with a S-Video to DVI convertor, it works. Is it true?

No... quite untrue.
Not for HD (digital) video.

S-video is not HD capable. It is only 480i. See the HDTV FAQ on "Cables & Connections". I assume this TV has component video connections? However, In North America, I would not buy a TV today without HDMI, without knowing the limitations and without a very good price. Things could be different in Shanghai.

I've also got the Norcent 2722, but i only use it to play Xbox 360. I don't think it's possible to use HDMI w/ the set. Im begining to think that maybe i'll need a reciever to give me more HD inputs via component since the stock configuration is limited to one HD component and one 480i component inputs.
