HD images are absolutely stunning. I watched Sunrise Earth on HDNet last night and I could not believe the amazing images I saw. The sound is good for the small speakers. SD images look pretty bad but that has nothing to do with the set. I'll have to look into what I can do to improve them. The manual is pretty bad. I'll never understand why the Mfgrs. don't create a manual and then give it to someone who speaks the native language to polish it.

But, I do have a couple of problems.

When connecting the cable box to the DVI input the image is green. Using the component inputs it's ok.

When I connect my Sony Progressive scan DVD player with component inputs it works fine. But when I connect using the S-Video no picture is displayed until I set a switch on the back of the DVD player from Progressive to normal. Then the image is smaller on the screen.

If anyone can help with answers or suggestions to these two problems I would be most grateful

S-video cannot handle 480P only 480i, that's why it doesn't work when you're on progressive. Why not simply use the component video cables?

Also, see the HDTV FAQs on "Black Bars" and "WS Stretch Modes".

For the DVI issue, see the HDTV FAQ on "Things to check first". Unplug and replug the cable a few times to ensure a good connection.

Thanks 57U I didn't know that. I thought they were equivalent. Component it is!
