Dead pixels show under VGA only

I just purchased a Vizio L32 from Sams.
I have an HTPC (Snapstreams beyondTV) connected to the Vizio through VGA, and have noticed what looks like 3 dead pixels. However, when I mark the pixels and go to any other AV mode (DVD, TV, HDTV) I do not see ANY of the dead pixels. Does this make scense to anyone?

I also see the dead pixels when there is "no signal" blue screen. If I, for example, choose and AV option where nothing is connected I can see them, but when pause a DVD, or Freezeframe TV or HDTV the pixels are not visible.
