top of Tv gets wavey on some DVDs

Oh some of my DVDs like Hero, i get a distorted wave of the image on the top, I used my playstation and its the same thing. Zoom don't fix it on the TV. RD50 is what I have.

I bought the right cables as far as i know. This only happens on some of the new DVDs, i can't find whats common about them (widescreen, anamorphic, and such). DVi works great, games and other movies play fine. my cables are pluged into the HD2, also setting the screen higher in the settings doesn't help.

any ideas or anyone who has this problem.

On the RD50 that I had, and RD65 that I have now.... I noticed that frequently while watching DVD's - there was a bit of wavy purple lines at the top of the screen.

If it annoyed me enough, I merely changed the inputs on the TV real quick, and changed back and all was well.

It doesn't happen often enough for me to be too concerned at this point, but if it's all the time I would certainly be frustrated.

Are you using componenet out --- never mind, you said HD2 so I guess you have a progressive scan DVD player with component out...?

Your playstation is also using componenet out plugged into the same thing? Or are you using a receiver to take the component inputs through?

I'm using a receiver, as far as I know my DVd player is progressive scan. As I said before its only the same DVDs everytime, just not all, but it when it does happens its thoses only. They are brand new also. I'm using component on Ps2 and DVD and my xbox.
