View Full Version : Does Sharp have a huge backlog?

I ordered a Sharp 45GD4U Aquos in beginning of April and it still hasn't arrived. I'm being told by the distributor that its on backorder with no ETA. What gives? Is there a that big of a demand on Aquos supply or is this model getting phased out? Anyone have any info? thanks!

I have heard from some HT installers that Sharp has very poor customer support. Don't know if a "backlog" could be attributed to such, but I suppose it could be. Not like I buy a new TV every year, but I haven't heard of anyone not being able to get their new set within a week.

I wouldn't say that they have poor customer support, but i could say that they are not as knowledgeable like other manufacturers such as samsung, or sony.
