Any info or rumors as to if and when Toshiba may introduce widescreen sets with DVI portal?

Toshiba declared at the CES that the 2003 sets coming out later this year will have a "power supply in which the DVI port can be added via a service technician", the current sets are SOL though.

Thanks Ghostdog: (great movie BTW:-))
I am in the 30 day window to return my 50HX81 and am currently in discussion with the vendor if instead of taking the TV back for a full refund, they can extend the return warranty till the new crop of Toshibas come in; when I will be prepared to buy a new set from them by paying the MSRP differential. The discussion is in early stages but I will try to keep people posted. In any case, I am not prepared to let my good money go towards a set that in all probability be obsolete in a few more months.

I almost bought the 57' until I started doing some research and found out about DVI. I think that'll be a good deal if you can swing it emthree. Let us know if it works out and which store offered it.
I'll wait for the DVI sets for now - I HATE WAITING!

Note: Toshiba has just changed the listed specs for its current (not new) 16:9 models, such as the 42H82. Now in the specs list is "DVI upgradable." Checking to see what THAT means in their website glossary, I see that they claim that an "optional jackpack" will allow DVI.
This is big news, as far as I am concerned, and beats Mitsubishi's "Promise", in that DVI is specifically mentioned. No word on cost, but I am going to buy the current 42H82 at a great price, not waiting for the soon-to-be-released new models, which will have DVI built-in.
