Sharp LC 37G4U

Have had the Sharp LC 37G4U for almost 6 months now and love it, especially the HD picture. 2 questions:

1 - after i shut off the set, it makes this popping noise occasionally. should i be worried? does anybody else who has this set experience this?

2 - is the lamp bulb for LCD's replaceable??? I heard you can just buy a new one for like 200 bucks and the TV is as good as new.

The popping may be expansion/contraction of the chassis, not usually a problem.

Lamps are usually user replaceable. Check your manual.

Congratulations on that sharp there:)

I seen it in person, has a very nice picture.

The crackling is a non issue a lot of tv's do it it helps to cool the set down, or like ratman said expansion and contraction.

bulb life's usually a couple years or more, it depends on how long you watch the set day in and day out, they go but hours usually.
