just got a 30hf84 and sd-v592 upconverting dvd/vcr combo. regards the tv, have checked DVE grids and have a vertical geometry issue. bottom of screen is about 1/8" to the left-rest is very good. i have read that a direct view will never be perfect but would like to try to tweak this. i know how to get into the service menu and have a list of the 60 separate parameters. i do not know what they all stand for-looks to be in the first 25 settings. i plan to write down all of the values before changing ANYTHING. has anyone done this with this set or the 26hf84(same) and help me with which ones to adjust??
picture actually looks pretty good SD (do not have hd box yet) and off of upconverted DVD (another issue with that shifting picture 1" to the right via hdmi-will post that in dvd forum). seems like some have had this much worse. got it from ABT in chicago so return would not be a problem if this is serious and cannot adjust it or it bugs me too much. thanks.
