Hitachi 53swx12b Picture Problem

I may have confused everyone with my previous post but I will attempt to try to explain the problem that I am currently having with the Hitachi 53swx12b RPTV:


If I sit directly in from of the RPTV than I can see a fingerprint like pattern on the center left and center right edges when there is a very bright or white background. If I sit a little to the left or right or even stand up or sit on the floor than I do not see the pattern. I can live with the problem for now but I am concerned that if I start to receive some true HD Signals that the problem will be really noticeable.

Has anyone seen this before and can it be fixed?

This subject was discussed on the Canadian Forum, also on AVS, I believe. It is a "known issue" and requires screen replacement for repair.

Type "thumb" into the search engine of the forums and you'll probably find the posts, but the above information is probably all you'll need.
