On the tube HDTV sets, mine is the Toshiba 34HDX82, does it help to get the DVD calibration? I don't see a calibration option in my menu. Thanks!
Petrus, welcome to the forum. I like your wine.
Direct view HDTVs need calibration as much as RPTVs. The calibration DVD will provide instructions on how to do the setup. You should have consumer menu items that let you change colour, contrast, hue, brightness and also some options to turn off "auto-colour", etc.
All of the automatic settings you have need to be turned off.
