Hitachi 57SWX20B issue

Hi, I bought a 57SWX20B, 2 weeks back and when i play a wide screen DVD the picture looks perfect but the border of the black band above seems irregular.

I mean that the edge of the border looks lighter on the left most end and brighter the rest. It's the same with all DVDs and also when i see any wide screen ads on my cable. Its ok with full screen picture no defects noticed.

Is this normal or is it a defect?? Appreciate your prompt suggestion so that i can return if it is a defect.

Welcome to the forum:

The border may be "lighter" on the one side because the set needs its convergence done. Have you "aimed the guns" manually using the 117 point manual convergence to ensure that all the guns are properly aimed?

Can you help me in doing the convergence I am totally new in this. I tried to do that but i could not.
