is it possible to make adjustments to one of the hd inputs without changing the rest of the inputs. specifically the width of the picture?

Have you tried using an AVIA disc? I believe that should correct any geometry problems you might have.

i have not used avia yet. to be more specific, all inputs look good except for my hd1 input. i have my ps2 hooked up to it. when i play dvds it looks great but when i play games i get a 1 inch black bar on each side.

I think it's because the PS2 outputs some
funky resolutions for games. It does the same thing to me with games, regardless of the input, but when I hook up my Xbox, it fills the screen just fine when playing games.

The Disc will not help. certain boxes will not fill the whole screen. Using my front connectors, N64 and PS1 leave a black void on the left side while our GC and PS2 fill the screen. If anything you may have to align the picture from your game box if possible. :(
