I have a 42H81 and was wondering if anyone knows whether or not this tv will in fact upconvert a 720P signal to 1080i? I've read conflicting statements regarding this. I just bought nba2k3 for my xbox...the game supports 720P, but I just get a black screen if I leave it enabled so I'm leaning towards the tv not supporting 720P at all. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.
This TV may not "allow" a 720P native input (The specs I looked at for this set didn't mention it).
Since almost all STBs supply a 1080i signal, this is not usually an issue. You may need to feed the set either a 480i, 480P or 1080i signal. Not sure of the capabilities of the X-box, someone else on this forum will know that.

Yeah I can get the game to run in 480P, but of course I'd much rather see it in 720P. :) Thanks for the quick reply.

nope it doesn't work on 720P. I'm using a dishnet hd and I tried that, just get a blank screen.
