Hi,

Futureshop seems to have a great deal on the 57H84C. Do any of you gents have any experience with this tv? Reviews are hard to find for some reason. Heres the URL on Futureshop.ca : http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0770HDS0010044596&catid=11299&logon=&langid=EN&dept=11&WLBS=fsweb22

Any insights or tips?

FS often gets HDTVs that are "exclusive" to them. It may be identical, or similar to another model sold in other stores.

Do you know if there is any way I can find out which models it may match. Any websites, tips, forums.

Thanks

$2400 Ca for a 57" rptv that only does 480i? Can this be correct?

I believe that's a misprint, it is after all an HDTV.

It was actually $100 bucks cheaper yesterday. The special was for 200 off.. Now it is only 100..

Oh well.

Any additional info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess from everything I am reading here and from the links provided that I really can't go wrong for the price.

Thanks again.

I just got this set in last week and it`s a great tv. Hd and dvd`s look so good you will find yourself watching the most boring shows on the hd channels just to avoid the analog stations.

Also keep in mind that the picture quality will improve during the first 100-200 hrs of viewing while the CRTs settle in. You will also have to do convergence adjustments more frequently during this period as there can be some "drift" during breakin.
Also, the reason that reviews are hard to find is that the H84s just came out a month or so ago...
