I have a 42H81 and was wondering if there is a way to display the type of signal the tv is receiving? I'd like to be able to know if its receiving 480p etc etc. Thanks.

I don't know if that's possible with this set - I haven't heard it mentioned before for TV sets. If it's not, here is a bit of a guide.

Most Set Top Boxes upconvert to 1080i. If the particular STB you use does not and if it passes the signal through "natively", here are the signals from the various networks.

HDFOX 480P
HDABC 720P
All other HD networks 1080i
NTSC signal (standard TV) 480i
"Standard" DVD player 480i
Progressive scan DVD player 480P, but usually switchable to 480i as well.
