My LC-45GX6U is to be delivered on the 13th of October(at least according to the retailer). I am really looking forward to this set and certainly hope it is all I think it will be in terms of PQ. The specs were what I've been waiting for to buy a tv as I've been weary of plasmas because of screen longevity and burn-in issues although I know improvements have been made in the latest models. LCD flats are impervious to these issues, and for me that sealed my wait for this size and reolution LCD. I have to admit though that pre-ordering a purchase of this magnitude sight unseen and without any reviews to be found anywhere is somewhat unsettling. Based on the 37 inch review I feel somewhat comfortable since I believe this set SHOULD have a better PQ than its littler sibling. I guess I'll see soon enough :)

Any word on your TV yet? Do you play games on your new HDTV (console or PC)? If so, any pics would be appreciated.

I dropped into a local dealer and asked if they had anything capable of 1920 x 1080 native. That's the one they showed me.

It was tuned to INHD2, and the picture was stunning! :wow: But it also made very clear what the issue is with 1080i vs. 720P. Every moving object had a VERY pronounced buzz-saw effect, similar to looking into a mirror with a periodic vibration. You constantly alternate between crystal clarity and crystal frizziness. :hah33:

I supppose you would get used to it ... and besides I probably was magnifying the effect by examining it from only a foot or two ... but I left the store thinking I'd probably just feed it TWC cable box output at 720P instead of 1080i and let it upconvert.
