I am triying to use the dvi connection from the dish network 811 reciever to the plasma tv.I get an exagerated zoom picture with deviation to the right of the monitor. Also, i get a small grey line(not the ones on the side) at the bottom of the monitor. I called dish and they checked the 811 and it seens to be set up ok,i tried to use the zoom in/out button on the remote without good results. Anybody knows how to fix this problem? Anybody has encountered this problem?

When did you start using the DVI connection and does your problem exists since day 1?
Any difference using the component connection?

Iansoto, call you tv manufacturer's tech support and ask them how to fix that problem.
I also copied this tread from another forum I hope it helps.
Many posts have indicated no appreciable increase,if any, in picture quality with DVI.
Use DVI if you must, as in the problem being you only have one HD input on your HDTV set and you need one each for the STB and one for the DVD component inputs, unless your A/V receiver does the component switching for you.
Some DVD players have DVI outputs to upconvert the DVD player's resolution, but that is the only "advantage".
DVI is the recording industry's way of making sure you never copy anything, even for your own use as it does not compress the signal for recording purposes.
Some say that the lack of compression using DVI makes for a better HD picture, but since most sets do not display a full 2 million pixels, anyway, I fail to see the point of having it.
