Does anybody have any idea on what the proper adjustment for the flyback on a Philips 30PW850H37A. I know how to enter the service menu and such, but how does one adjust the flyback so that the TV quits shuting off, and giving code 3 or 7. What currently happening cause I don't have the flyback adjusted correctly, the tv will run for a while then the flyback will start to click and the tv will shut off. If I unplug it, and turn it back on it will run fine for a while, then it starts acting up again.

I don't know what 'adjustments' you made to your set via the service menu. But if the flyback transformer is the problem, then you have the settings maladjusted, you need a new flyback or there may be another problem that is power related.

BTW... flybacks normally don't click. They will normally 'squeal' if there's a problem.

If you hear 'clicking', I'd assume that your TV's circuit protection is activating.

I'd call for service.

I kinda thought that myself, but for some strange reason what evercase it may be, it is the actual flyback in this case. I even got down there with a pair of those automotive stethoscopes, to verify that I wasn't hearing things. Here's the kicker, If I adjust the flyback so that my picture is out of focus, the clicking stops, and will run normal with things out of focus. Now I don't recall seeing anything in my service menu that will allow me to put things back into focus but I could be wrong. I have been before. With this being a new main board in the tv I shouldn't be having problems, I had to replace the old one cause of kids and a thing called pop.
