We purchased our set 2 years ago and have always enjoyed it. we bought the extended warranty and each year we have maintenance done on the set which was included with the warranty.

Here in Dallas all the local stations are digital and HD for all except Fox. We have an off air antenna in the attic and the picture is always great. Stereo comes in on 5.1 when broadcast. Our whole subdivision is hooked up with directv over 1300 homes.

Would recommend the Mitsubishi to anyone.

The contract is through Philips Priority Service Plans. The cost was
$431 for 5yrs.

They come out every year and clean the set from top to bottom inside and out, lens etc. They adjust if needed and this is at no charge. I have had then out once because I screwed up and could not get something to work(three times total). When they came out they did another readjustment. Two years ago HDTV was pretty new and I felt that for a 65" a warranty was the way to go.

Other than that we have not had any problems with the set. I highly recommend Mitsubishi. Most people that see it say it is the best picture they have ever seen. It is very very clear.
